Plastic moulding is a manufacturing method that entails shaping melted plastic raw material by injecting it into a mould with heat and removing it from the mould by cooling it. Plastic parts of various sizes and categories, from the smallest components to garden furniture, can be produced using this method. It is one of the most widely used manufacturing techniques. A plastic injection machine is the machine that performs the process. In the 1930s, the first plastic injection machine was developed.

Encapsulation: an injection machine is made up of three major components: the clamping unit (vice), the injection unit, and the mould. The encapsulation unit is designed to keep muffle pressure constant during injection and cooling. Simply put, it is the unit that combines the injection mould's two faces (female and male).

Injection in manufacturing moulds: During the injection phase, finely ground plastic material is poured into the injection unit's chamber. It is then fed into the cylinder, which is heated by resistance heaters via a screw controlled by an electric motor. By performing screw compression, it advances the melted plastic material to the end of the cylinder. When there is enough material in front of the screw to fill the mould, the injection process begins. A nozzle at the machine's end directs the molten plastic into the mould. A hydraulic motor controls the pressure and speed of this process.

Ironing during manufacturing of the moulds : This procedure is used to ensure that the part has the accurate size and that there are no visible flaws (depression, warping, bending, etc.). By applying pressure, the plastic melt injected into the mould is ensured to fill the mould cavity. The process is repeated until the plastic in the mould settles. The length of the process varies depending on the type of raw material used, as well as the size and weight of the pieces.

The hardened plastic accessory in the mould can be removed and used in almost all areas of the industry. Mould cooling is typically accomplished through the use of water channels within the mould. The use of plastic injection machines is without a doubt the most important stage of the plastics industry. After many stages, the plastic raw material is poured into plastic injection moulds and shaped. The quality of the material produced, and the quality of the injection mould are directly proportional. The smoother and higher the quality of the plastic injection mould, the better the product that emerges out of it.
